CATCH A LIVE PERFORMANCE
Lewisburg’s regional cultural center, Carnegie Hall, is now in its 39th year of presenting world-class arts programming. Beginning in September, the Mainstage Series kicks off. This year's line-up features an eclectic mix of performers from pop-rock to bluegrass and R&B.
THERE'S NO BUSINESS LIKE SHOW BUSINESS
Downtown Lewisburg is also home to the acclaimed Greenbrier Valley Theatre, which has a fresh season of live theatre commencing every May. This year’s strong slate includes dramas, musicals and favorite classics, along with presentations of Metropolitan Opera Live in HD, transmitted via satellite from New York City. The theatre also hosts special music events, concerts and fun-for-all lobby cabarets.
Carnegie Hall, only one of four still in operation worldwide, showcases a wide-ranging repertoire of music from all over the globe.
OUR VERSION OF THE CLUB CIRCUIT
Don’t be surprised if you hear music wafting from any number of other Greenbrier Valley watering holes. Hot spots such as The Asylum, Hill and Holler, and Stuart’s Smokehouse regularly host local and touring musicians and will gladly welcome you into the audience. The Sportsman Tavern, recently revived from top to bottom, is a long-standing fixture in the riverside town of Ronceverte. Not only does it have an extensive beer and wine list, but it's also known for its pool hall games--classic pinball and arcade machines, pool table and vintage 20-foot shuffleboard.
CLEAN COUNTRY AIR AND CRISP HARD CIDER
Are you tempted by the prospect of a quiet pond-side respite, sipping a glass of locally-made hard cider and basking in the clean mountain air? Then Hawk Knob Appalachian Hard Cider & Mead is the place for you. Off the beaten track but just west of Lewisburg by two miles, the cidery is open until 7 p.m. Thursday through Sunday, with extended summer hours that take advantage of the longer days.

In the Greenbrier Valley, a live performance is regularly topped off by a fine meal, as the valley delivers a broad variety of options in uncrowded, easy-going, indoor and outdoor patio settings.
