Lewisburg, WV (March 13, 2014) - The Greenbrier County Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) is excited to host a Reunion Planning Workshop on Saturday, April 5th from 1-4pm. Registrants attending the workshop will receive the tools they need to plan a Greenbrier Valley reunion.
"The Greenbrier Valley is the perfect location for family, friends and class groups to reunite," said Kara Dense, Executive Director of the Greenbrier County CVB. "We hope this program encourages people to host their reunions right here in our area. Our goal is to provide reunion planners with the tools they need to organize a seamless event."
The workshop, which will be held in the Greenbrier Valley Visitors Center's Rahall Room, will cover the topics of setting an event timetable, securing a hotel room block, booking vendors and announcing events to local media. Experts in each of these fields will present their tips to the attendees who will receive a complimentary Reunion Kit. Kits includes a planning notebook, invitation post cards, Visitors Guide and Destination Planning Guide. The workshop, scheduled for 2pm, is limited to the first 30 registrants.
Also, set up throughout the Visitors Center will be businesses that have a service to offer reunion planners, such as hotels, caterers, recreational companies and more. The public is invited to stop by the Visitors Center to visit with these representatives.
Refreshments will be provided and attendees will have the opportunity to win door prizes.
